IronDefense is a fake antispyware program that has been recently noticed on the Internet It infects systems with a help of Trojan viruses and pretends to be a security tool. As soon as the program infiltrates, it starts its malicious activity.

IronDefense causes tons of pop up ads to your system that warn about security problems. Most importantly, they redirect to websites promoting Iron Defense as a reputable antispyware program. There you can make a payment for IronDefense which should supposedly provide protection to your computer system. In reality it will only charge your credit card without providing the actual services.

Iron Defense also displays some security notification including a fake Windows Security Center alert that warns about your private data being at risk and recommends purchasing a full version of IronDefense in order to get protected.

When Iron Defense installs into the system it creates some files there. These files are later “detected” as infections by a fake scanner of IronDefense.  There is no need to say that for their removal, the program insists purchasing a full version of Iron Defense.

As you can see, this scam application is only looking for your money but in fact it cannot provide any services at all. You must uninstall Iron Defense from your computer as soon as possible if you have noticed its activity there. If you have already made a payment for it, please contact your bank and dispute the charges.
